Practical prompt patterns for getting actionable answers during the workday.

The way you phrase a prompt has a large effect on how useful the result is. This guide collects patterns that consistently produce good results, each with a reusable template and real examples.

Rules of thumb​

Three habits will improve almost any prompt:

  • Specify sources and time range. Tell Lumnic where to look and how far back.
  • Ask for a format. Bullets, paragraphs, a table. Say what you want.
  • One task per prompt. Keep each query focused on a single job.
